District Heating and Process Water Pipeline Main Contract, Earthworks and Concrete Construction
We completed the main contract for Kotkan Energia’s district heating and process water pipeline project at the Kotkamills industrial site in Kotka. The project, valued at approximately €1.2 million, included the construction of district heating and process water pipelines in a demanding industrial environment.
The contract involved extensive earthworks, rock excavation and concrete construction, including several technically demanding structural solutions. The pipelines were supported on bedrock using engineered rock anchoring systems, while the project also included cast-in-place concrete structures and other challenging concrete works. In addition, we carried out the replacement of contaminated soil within the project area.
Part of the pipeline route was constructed alongside the shoreline, requiring the construction of a rock embankment before pipeline installation could begin. All work was carried out within an active industrial site, placing high demands on safety, logistics and the coordination of construction activities.

Outdoor Maintenance Services for the Warehouse and Container Terminal Areas of Mussalo Port, Kotka
We have been responsible for the outdoor maintenance of Steveco’s warehouse and container terminal areas at the Port of Mussalo in Kotka since 2021. The site is one of Finland’s most significant port areas, operating around the clock every day of the year.
The primary focus of the service is winter maintenance, employing approximately ten machine units throughout the winter season. Winter maintenance includes snow ploughing, ice control, packed snow removal, snow hauling, and specialised quay cleaning using mechanical sweeping equipment.
During the summer season, our services include sand removal, general area cleaning, various washing operations and the recycling and processing of de-icing materials as part of a circular economy approach.
Mussalo Port presents exceptionally demanding conditions for maintenance operations. All work is carried out within a fully operational port environment where heavy traffic, 24/7 operations, extensive open areas, confined container terminals and challenging coastal weather conditions require meticulous planning, reliable equipment and consistently high operational performance.
